Sakae (酒画)

- The Art of Sakae -

Sakae (酒画) is my original technique:
a mixed media artwork with alcohol ink as the primary medium,
combined with paper theater-style cutouts to capture a story in a single frame.

How to make Sakae

1. Alcohol Ink Art

Drop alcohol ink onto paper to create unique color patterns

2. Drawing

Draw story characters on the alcohol ink art

3. Paper Cutting

Cut out the drawn figures to form story characters

4. Combined Creation

Combine ink art with cut paper to create unique works
